The D230Ti-S 1" compression driver from PRV Audio is designed for high output while remaining lightweight, clocking in at just over two pounds. A pure titanium diaphragm helps to provide smooth frequency response from 1,000 to 20,000 Hz, while a Kapton® former and 1.4" copper voice coil combine to offer a 30 watt RMS power handling.
Standard 1-3/8"-18 TPI threads make the D230Ti-S a great, easy replacement and upgrade option for many pro audio cabinets, where manufacturers typically use the cheapest component possible. This driver's high sensitivity translates into clearer, more effortless sound than ever before from your speakers.
If you are building your own speaker cabinets from scratch, the D230Ti-S works well with PRV Audio's 10W600 10" woofer, 12W700 12" woofer, and 15W700 15" woofer for two-way speaker designs when used with the PRV Audio 2DF2k 2,000 Hz two-way crossover. High output mobile audio enthusiasts choose this compression driver for its small size and high output.
