Antique glass apothecary Leech bowl possible salt cellar pontiled

Antique glass pontil leech bowl. Twelve melon type ribs, light pink amethyst color. tough to tell exactly what this small bowl was used for back in the day. The form suggests it was a leech bowl used by traveling doctors but leech bowls are not usually this fancy. I have seen some glass auctions refer to these as salt cellars. Either way it is a beautiful piece of blown glass in pristine condition. just a small touch of base wear. Extremely rare form and color. In the coming weeks I will be auctioning off a small but important collection of these bowls.
